During this lesson students develop their language and soft skills by discussing gender bias. Activity 1 As a warm-up activity students solve a riddle on gender bias https://youtu.be/4kFC7669quE . Activity 2 Students discuss gender-inclusive language. Activity 3 Students watch a YouTube video (https://youtu.be/0PzWnljCpL0 ) about International Women's Day and do the comprehension check (vocabulary timeline & comprehension questions). Activity 4 Students discuss the importance of including men in gender quality fights. They watch a speech delivered by Emma Watson on gender equality (https://youtu.be/nIwU-9ZTTJc )  and do the comprehension exercises. Activity 5 In pairs students discuss examples of gender bias using signpost language for expressing an opinion agreeing and disagreeing. Activity 6 In groups students write Gender Equality Pledges which they compare and peer-assess. Activity 7 Students write down the bias they want to break.   Activity 8 Students design an eBook with Gender equality pledges and the biases they want to break.
