This lesson is dedicated to the New European Bauhaus initiative. Students are encouraged to think how they can make their schools more sustainable inclusive and beautiful. While creating the materials about sustainable inclusive and beautiful school students are going to use two or more modes (sound image language gesture space) in their texts (TikTok/Snapchat Stories memes digital designs of perfect classrooms banners). Step1: T introduces the topics of the Bauhaus and the New European Bauhaus (NEB) as well as multimodality. Ss do online research and compare the Bauhaus movement and the NEB initiative. Step 2: In groups Ss discuss how to implement NEB into education and into their school. Ss create mind maps of what makes schools more sustainable beautiful and together. Step 2: In pairs Ss create memes based on the NEB in education and their school. Students use their own images of their school and meme generator memecam.io which uses AI to generate a meme in a language of your choice. Ss are supposed to give context for the meme when using the generator. Step 3: In groups Ss design a perfect (outdoor)classroom/relaxation area in school using Google Slides Canva or Autodraw which uses AI. Once they finish the design students present it to the class explaining what makes it perfect. Step 4: In groups Ss design a video for TikTok and write the narration for the video. They use the checklist in order to assess their work. Step 5: Ss upload the materials they have created on Thinglink or Padlet in order to organize an online exhibition.
