Teacher preparation: field teaching and classroom work
The aim of the lesson is for children to explore and understand the basic characteristics and importance of trees through guided, multisensory observation and hands-on activities. 
Children explore a tree in their environment and record its characteristics using a structured worksheet. By observing bark, leaves, sounds, and living organisms around the tree, and by estimating its height and circumference with non-standard units of measurement, they connect sensory experience with early science and mathematics learning. The activity also helps children understand the importance of trees in a habitat, while fostering curiosity and environmental awareness.
