    Opis materijala

    Scenarij poučavanja za 3 nastavna sata za učenike sedmih razreda u osnovnim školama. Scenarij poučavanja usmjeren je na učenje o energiji kroz integrirane aktivnosti na engleskom jeziku. Učenici razvijaju jezične vještine, kritičko mišljenje i razumijevanje energetskih sustava putem interaktivnih zadataka, pokusa, rasprava i escape room aktivnosti. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na održivi razvoj, suradničko učenje i aktivno sudjelovanje svih učenika.

    Znanja koja će učenici steći

    Učenici će razumjeti i izdvajati glavne informacije iz jednostavnih tekstova i uputa o energiji, prepoznati uzročno-posljedične veze u tekstu i pokusima, opisivati opažanja i jednostavne procese na engleskom jeziku, izražavati mišljenje i sudjelovati u raspravi koristeći osnovne izraze, koristiti osnovni vokabular vezan uz energiju i okoliš u govoru i pismu te pisati kratke odgovore i jednostavna objašnjenja.

    Introduction

    Opis aktivnosti

    The teacher introduces new vocabulary using flashcards created on Wordwall. https://wordwall.net/resource/111959247 The Students practice the vocabulary by playing the Wordwall game https://wordwall.net/resource/111962494 (maze chase). The aim is to activate prior knowledge and introduce the topic of energy in a playful and engaging way. Students work individually or in pairs, depending on their needs.

    Energy Detectives – Online Scavenger Hunt

    Opis aktivnosti

    Students are divided into four groups. Each group reads one short text related to a mysterious electricity blackout in a town. The texts focus on renewable and non-renewable energy sources and the reasons for the blackout. Students search for specific information in the text. When they enter the correct answer in puzzel.org, they unlock the next level. At the same time, each group writes its solution into a numbered crossword. Each group receives a different solution. When all groups finish, representatives come to the board and write their solutions. Together, the crossword reveals the title of the workshop

    Analysing the Title and Experiments

    The teacher initiates discussion with the question: “Why is energy always in motion?” Students then observe and discuss three simple experiments: 1. Stone and ruler in water – observing circular and straight waves 2. Sun, magnifying glass, and balloons – comparing dark and light balloons and energy transformation. We placed the dark balloon inside the light one, used a magnifying glass, and pointed it toward the Sun; the dark balloon burst while the light balloon remained intact. 3. Dominoes – demonstrating energy transfer from one object to another After each experiment, students describe what they see and explain how energy moves or changes.

    Critical Thinking – Four Corners & World Café

    Opis aktivnosti

    Students decode statements written in mirrored text. They then take part in a Four Corners activity (I agree / I strongly agree / I disagree / I strongly disagree), explaining their choice. Afterwards, students rotate in small groups in a World Café discussion, focusing on additional statements about renewable and non-renewable energy. The aim is to encourage critical thinking and respectful discussion.

    Final Escape Room – Energy Challenge

    Opis aktivnosti

    In the final activity, students take part in an escape room. They solve puzzles, read secret messages, and navigate sentence-based mazes related to energy and its transmission. When all puzzles are solved, students unscramble letters connected to renewable energy sources. The final decoded message is: “Better late than never!” This message leads to a short concluding discussion about change, responsibility, and sustainable energy choices.
