    This project-based learning activity introduces students to biodiversity monitoring through the Observation.org citizen science platform. Students observe and document plants, animals and other organisms in their local environment, contribute real scientific data and explore ecological patterns and species diversity. The material develops scientific, observational and digital skills while promoting environmental literacy, active citizenship and engagement in authentic biodiversity research.

    Znanja koja će učenici steći

    Through this citizen science project, students will develop an understanding of biodiversity, ecosystems and the importance of species monitoring for nature conservation. They will learn how to identify and observe different organisms, record and upload scientific data, and apply scientific methods such as observation, hypothesis formation, data collection and analysis. Students will strengthen their species identification, digital literacy and critical thinking skills while exploring local biodiversity. The project promotes environmental awareness, scientific inquiry and responsible attitudes towards nature, while also developing teamwork, collaboration and communication skills through shared fieldwork and discussion.
