    Think–Pair–Share: In pairs, students discuss inventions like: a smartphone, a light bulb, internet and a car. They answer questions: Can you live without it? What would be difficult? Which invention is the most important? They give feedback. Students do vocabulary tasks connected with inventions.

    Creating a one-pager

    Students individually create a one-pager about an invention that has significantly influenced people's lives. The one-pager must include a clear and eye-catching title displaying the name of the invention. Students draw a picture of the invention in the centre of the page to create a visual connection with the topic. They then provide key facts about the invention, including who invented it, when it was invented, and where it originated, using Past Simple sentences. Students explain the importance of the invention by writing three to four sentences describing how it changed people's lives, how it helped society, and how it is used today. To make their work more engaging, they add a Fun Fact Box containing an interesting or surprising piece of information related to the invention. Around the edges of the page, students create a Vocabulary Box consisting of five to eight key words connected to their invention.

    After completing their one-pagers, students take part in a mini presentation activity to share their work with the class. Each student presents their chosen invention for approximately 2–3 minutes, using their one-pager as a visual aid. Students follow a simple presentation structure. They begin by introducing their invention and explaining why they chose it. Next, they provide key information about the invention, including who invented it and when it was invented. They then explain why the invention is important and how it changed people's lives. To make their presentation more engaging, students share an interesting fun fact related to their invention. Finally, they conclude by expressing their personal opinion about why the invention remains important today.
