By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: recall and describe important events and experiences from the school year; express opinions and provide simple reasons for their choices; recognize and celebrate the strengths and achievements of their classmates; collaborate effectively in groups and participate in a class discussion; deliver a short presentation and acceptance speech in English.

Activity 1: Class Through Time

The lesson begins with a reflection activity in which students work in small groups to create a timeline of the school year. They discuss important events, projects, presentations, competitions, excursions, classroom activities, and memorable moments from September to June. Each group records their ideas on a large sheet of paper and selects the most significant highlights. After completing their timelines, groups briefly present their favourite memories to the class.

Activity 2: Create Your Own Classroom Oscars

Students remain in their groups and take part in an Oscar nomination activity. First, they brainstorm possible award categories. The teacher provides several examples such as Best Team Player, Most Helpful Classmate, Class Comedian, Most Creative Student, or Most Improved English Speaker, but students are encouraged to invent their own categories as well. Each group chooses award recipients and prepares a short explanation for every nomination using simple English. Students also design and decorate their Oscar certificates or paper trophies.

Activity 3: Oscar Ceremony

The classroom is transformed into an awards ceremony. Each group presents its Oscar categories and announces the winners. Students explain why each classmate deserves the award, highlighting positive qualities, achievements, and contributions to the class community. Award recipients come to the front of the classroom to receive their Oscars and deliver a short acceptance speech consisting of one or two sentences.

To conclude the lesson, all students gather together holding their Oscar certificates or trophies. The teacher takes a group photo to commemorate the end of the school year and celebrate the accomplishments of the class.
