Activity 1 Easter Flashcards

Individual work – teacher shows flashcards with pictures and words: teacher pronounces each word and have the student repeat; teacher mixes the flashcards and asks the student to match the pictures with the correct words.

Activity 2 Easter Memory Game

Pair work – students play memory game with the same words from the flash cards; they say the word each time they flip the card.

Activity 3 Describing Easter symbols

Individual work - student answers the questions about symbols on the flash cards: What colour is the chocolate bunny/chick/Easter egg…?

Activity 4 Story time

Individual work – first a teacher reads the story, and helps the student translate the story; student practices reading the story; teacher cuts the sentences form the story, mixes them and the student puts them in order; students answers the questions about the story; student writes the answers about the story.

Activity 5 Easter Card

Teacher introduces Easter cards (when do we write them, who do we write to, what images do we put on Easter cards) Individual work – Student brainstorms messages that can be written on an Easter card: "Happy Easter!" "Wishing you a fun Easter!" "Enjoy the Easter egg hunt!" Individual work – student designs a (digital) card; student practices writing the message; student writes the message.
