This lesson plan aims to enhance language skills through recipe writing, promote cultural awareness of Christmas traditions, and encourage creativity. It also focuses on building collaboration through group activities.

Activity 1 Christmas vocabulary

Whole class – students talk about Christmas traditions in their families. Individual work – students do Educaplay quiz on Christmas vocabulary. Students divide the words into two groups – secular and religious Pair work – students write a short dialogue using at least four words from the quiz.

Activity 2 Christmas drawing game

Group work – students play a drawing game; each group chooses their representative who are blindfolded and while blindfolded, they draw what is being described by their teacher. The winners is the one whose drawing is the closest to the description.

Activity 3

Individual work – students write what Christmas means to them. They do it in a snowflake/snowball (either in Canva presentation or on the paper).

Activity 4

Pair work – students write a recipe for a merry Christmas. Students write the list and quantity of ingredients and the procedure (they use cooking words). Students design their recipe slide in Canva presentation prepared by the teacher. Students chose the best recipes and explain why. *all the tasks are in the A recipe for a Merry Christmas presentation
