tHThis lesson is dedicated to the IWD and stereotypes. Students work on their own or in groups and the teacher serves as a moderator. Working on this topic students develop their soft skills as well as their language skills. Objectives: to educate students on the importance of International Women's Day to increase awareness about the impact of gender stereotypes and biases on women's lives to inspire students to challenge gender norms and embrace diversity and inclusivity Activity 1 Introduction Whole class T asks the students about their knowledge of International Women's Day. Ss discuss the importance of the day and its significance in promoting gender equality. Activity 2 Group Work 2. Gender Stereotyping: Ss discuss how stereotypes affect different genders. Ss brainstorm ways to challenge and break these stereotypes. Activity 3 Group work The Barbie Doll's Impact on Society Ss do online research and discuss the history and evolution of Barbie's image. Ask them to reflect on what Barbie's image has meant to young girls in different cultures and time periods. Activity4 Whole class Each group presents their research and explains their interpretation of Barbie's impact on society. Ss compare and contrast the different interpretations of Barbie's impact. Activity 5 Pair work Ss research how Barbie dolls are used to fight the stereotypes with their inspiring women series. Ss choose one of the Barbie dolls from the inspiring women series and do a research on her. Activity 6 Pair work Ss design their Google slide with the information they have found online. Activity 7 Ss create a video bases on Google slides which they present  on school's video wall. Assessment: The students will be assessed based on their participation in the group activities and discussion points.
