This lesson plan is for A2-level students.  Activity 1 Brainstorm what you associate with Valentine's Day (14 February heart chocolate roses Valentine's Day Cards…). Students create a mind map in pairs. Students compare their mind map(s). Were you surprised by any of the statistics?  Activity 3 1. Who should you wish Happy Valentine's Day?  Possible answers: Boyfriend/girlfriend friend family member teacher. Do you think it is ok to celebrate Valentine's day with your friends? Activity 4 Write a friendship recipe. Pair work. Brainstorming: What is important for friendship? Possible answers; having fun honesty keeping secrets trust laughter jokes happiness… Students write the recipe with the help of the template (in the attachment). Peer assessment - students read each other's recipes and give feedback (two stars and a wish - two things they like and one thing which need improvement) Design you’re your page of the Friendship Cookbook.
