You will write a haiku poem. The topics are St Valentine's day and chocolate. Read the instructions before writing as well as some examples which will help you create your own haiku poem. The structure of a traditional haiku is always the same including the following features: There are only three lines totaling 17 syllables. The first line is 5 syllables. The second line is 7 syllables. The third line is 5 syllables like the first. BUT IF IT IS TOO DIFFICULT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW THIS RULE WITH SYLLABLES ONLY LINES. Punctuation and capitalization are up to the poet. A haiku does not have to rhyme in fact usually it does not rhyme at all. It can include the repetition of words or sounds.  INSTRUCTIONS 1.Begin by reading examples of haiku. 2.Make a list of words that relate to the subject you have chosen. Be as descriptive as possible. Think about feelings and emotions too. 3.The last line is usually used to make an observation about your subject. It can be fun to add a surprise here. 4.Add your haiku poem to google slides. Each slide will have two notes. This means that two of you are going to finish designing your slide after you write your haiku poem on one of the notes.  5. Record yourself reciting your haiku and add it to your slide as a qr code.
